Frore Systems has launched LiquidJet Diamond, a bespoke liquid-cooling coldplate for high-power AI accelerators like Nvidia's Rubin and AMD's Instinct MI400/MI500 series. The design adds a diamond heat spreader over GPU hotspots, which Frore says enables handling of power densities up to 770 W/cm², cuts GPU temperatures by up to 22C, and boosts token throughput per watt by up to 35% versus conventional coldplates.
Microsoft announced its third-generation Maia AI accelerator, the Maia 300, saying it will increasingly handle AI processing requests with its own silicon rather than Nvidia GPUs.
