What Is MicroSD Express? Everything You Need to Know

I got my Nintendo Switch 2, and my internal storage is already filling up with all my old games and saves! If you're in the same boat, you may have also noticed you can't just jam in the SD card from your original Switch and keep rocking. Instead, you'll need a new microSD Express card. This Express standard was introduced in late 2023, and it enables write speeds in the hundreds of megabytes, but until now the cards themselves were as rare as any devices that used the standard. As a result, th

‘Alien: Earth’ Crashes Into Comic-Con With a Massive Outdoor Experience

The USCSS Maginot, a Weyland Yutani research vessel, crashed into the large lawn next to Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con this weekend. Onlookers remarked they hoped there was nothing dangerous on board, as containers had spilled all over the surrounding area. That’s both the tease for a very cool activation put together by FX for its new show, Alien: Earth, as well as the setup for Alien: Earth itself. The show, which debuts August 12, centers on a crashed ship and all the horrors that it contain

The ‘Predator’ Dropped In San Diego For a Surprise ‘Badlands’ Experience

Usually, activations at San Diego Comic-Con are announced at least a few weeks in advance. That gives fans an opportunity to prioritize their favorites, map them out, and then hit the ground running. This year though, one major experience seemed to join the party late. That’s Predator Badlands, which took over a huge section attached to the Hard Rock Hotel across from the convention center. Outside, security answered the questions of passersby about when the experience would open. And inside, th

Thankfully, it’s now possible to get a little taste of what it’ll be like. Last week, t

Elden Ring Nightreign is adding two-player co-op next week

A self-styled “leaking and cracking forum” where users advertise and share breached databases, stolen credentials, and pirated software was leaking the IP addresses of its logged-in users to the open web, security researchers have found. Leak Zone left an Elasticsearch database exposed to the internet without a password, according to researchers at UpGuard. In a blog post shared with TechCrunch ahead of its publication, the researchers said they discovered the database on July 18 and found its

Spotify takes a swing at gaming with a mini golf game ahead of ‘Happy Gilmore 2’ release

Netflix and Spotify have teamed up to launch a golf-inspired game as a way to promote “Happy Gilmore 2,” the sequel to Adam Sandler’s 1996 comedy film, which premieres on Netflix this Friday, July 25. This partnership represents a new venture for Spotify, as the music platform has never teamed up with another company to create a gaming experience within its app before. A problem I had with this advice is I couldn't find a good explanation of what connecting means. It means mutual empathy — they get you and you get them. It's discovering similar values, experiences and perspectives. It's a feeling of trust and comfort where you both feel safe to say what is truly on your mind. That feeling is wh
