Speedo has introduced a wearable sensor module designed to attach to compatible goggles already owned by swimmers, rather than requiring a full new headset. The device tracks metrics such as head movement, pace, and stroke count during a swim session, syncing that data to a companion smartphone app for analysis.
Speedo has introduced SpeedoIQ, a removable sensor module that fits into its Vanquisher swim goggles to track pace, distance, breathing, head position and turns. Unlike rival Form's in-goggle display, SpeedoIQ stores data for review after a swim via a companion app, and World Aquatics has cleared it for competitive use. Speedo says it works across all stroke types without requiring a subscription, though pricing and release timing remain unannounced.
Speedo has introduced a detachable sensor module called Speedo iQ that fits its Vanquisher goggles and tracks performance data across all four competitive swim strokes. The module measures head movement, breathing timing, and distance per stroke, then syncs that data to a companion app once the swimmer exits the pool. The goggles with the module cost $189, require no subscription, and are approved for use in World Aquatics competitions.
