After roughly four months of activation errors, a broken eSIM setup, and unhelpful live chat support, he canceled the service and returned to Visible.
After a $113 monthly T-Mobile bill and rising costs, including a pricier upcoming iPhone 18 Pro, the author switched to a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO). MVNOs like Mint Mobile, Visible, and US Mobile don't own their own networks—they lease access from AT&T, T-Mobile, or Verizon—letting customers keep similar coverage while paying less.
Verizon's MVNO Visible introduced Visible One, a bundle merging its mobile service with Verizon Fios-based fiber internet under one bill. The base tier costs $55/month for 300Mbps fiber plus standard mobile service, while Visible+ Pro One costs $75/month for 1Gbps fiber and premium mobile with 5G Ultra Wideband and a smartwatch line. Both plans skip added taxes, fees, contracts, and credit checks, but require homes to already have an inactive Fios ONT installed.
A comparison of financing a 256GB iPhone 17 Pro shows Apple's own Upgrade lease program, paired with a low-cost carrier plan, totals about $1,819 over two years. Verizon's competing offer, which bundles the phone with its pricier Unlimited Ultimate plan over three years, adds up to roughly $3,520 for the same device.
