TL;DR The Pixel Camera’s Add Me feature on the Pixel 10 series has been upgraded to support pets and larger group photos.
The tool helps users appear in their group pictures by snapping two aligned shots and seamlessly stitching them together to create a composite photo for the whole group.
It’s unclear if these new features will reach older Pixels, including the Pixel 9 series.
Add Me is a highlight feature of the Pixel 9 series, and it’s one of those features you think you won’t use until you realize how fun it is. The feature is intended for taking group photos without leaving anyone out, but you can also use it to clone people in photos. With the Pixel 10 series, Google is making Add Me even more useful with support for pets and larger groups.

Add Me on the Pixel 10 series has been upgraded with quality improvements for more creative and complicated shots, including larger groups. Further, Add Me now fully supports pets, so your group photo can now include your furry friends too.
As usual, you can access Add Me in the Pixel Camera app. Add Me will guide you in snapping the first photo (remember to leave room for yourself!), and then ask you to swap with someone else to get you in the shot. The second photographer can then align the phone with the on-screen frame and click the second photo. The Pixel Camera app will stitch the two photos together to create a new group photo with you in it. The camera app also saves both the original images, so you aren’t losing out on anything.

Google has yet to share if Add Me’s larger group support and pet support will be coming to the Pixel 9 series. Add Me hasn’t made it to Pixels older than the Pixel 9 series, so don’t hold your breath on the expanded support coming to those phones, either. We’ll keep you updated when we learn more.
