Instagram might be about to cross off one of the most requested features from users’ wish lists: The company has confirmed it’s testing a native repost button for the main Feed. Here’s how it might work.

Not the first time, but maybe the last?

If you’ve got a good memory, you might recall that Instagram first started experimenting with reposts back in 2022. Now, some users are once again spotting the feature live in their accounts.

According to early reports and screenshots (which Meta has confirmed to TechCrunch that are the real thing), you’ll be able to repost both your own content and posts from other users.

Until now, the only official way to share someone else’s post was by adding it to your Story. To get around this, many users have resorted to third-party apps or just plain screenshots.
