iPhone 17 Air vs iPhone 16 Plus: New images depict how much thinner it really is

Some new images shared on social media yesterday compare iPhone 17 Air dummy models to its direct predecessor, the iPhone 16 Plus – revealing how much thinner this new iPhone will be. In just a few months, Apple will be discontinuing the ‘Plus’ iPhone from its lineup, and ushering in an all new, ultra-thin ‘Air’ model. This model ditches the dual camera, a second speaker, and sacrifices in battery – but will be remarkably thin and light, coming in in at just 5.5mm thin and 145g in weight. It’ll also pack a 6.6-inch OLED display with ProMotion. It’s rumored that the iPhone 17 Air will retain roughly the same starting price as the iPhone 16 Plus, placing it around $899.
