Update: This story has been updated with additional details from Charter.

This coming season, Apple Vision Pro users will be able to watch select Los Angeles Lakers games live in an immersive feed. Here are the details.

Available live, or on demand for 3 days

As first spotted by TechRadar, Apple is gearing up to stream select Los Angeles Lakers games this coming season in Apple Immersive for the Apple Vision Pro.

According to the report:

“Special cameras that support the format will be set courtside and under each basket to give you perspectives that amp up the immersion. The Lakers’ games will be shot using a special version of Blackmagic Design’s URSA Cine Immersive Live camera.”

The report also notes that the immersive live streams will be limited to select games, and that Apple and the NBA should announce more details before the end of November 2025, “with the first (matches) expected by early 2026.”

TechRadar also notes that the matches will be made available through both the NBA app, and an upcoming app called Charter Communications Spectrum SportsNet, with a few caveats:

“You’ll likely need an active subscription to either service, but we’re still waiting on those details. For now, via either app, you’ll be able to stream the Lakers in Apple Immersive live or on demand for three days after each game ends in the United States. Some live events will be limited to the Lakers’ regional broadcast territory, so if you’re not in a specific state or city, you might encounter a delay.”

Specifically on the NBA app, the immersive content will reportedly be available to users in the US, as well as “in the UK, Australia, France, Germany, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, and the UAE.”
