Microsoft has released the June 2025 non-security preview update for Windows 10, version 22H2, with fixes for bugs preventing the Start Menu from launching and breaking scanning features on USB multi-function printers.

It also resolves a Component Object Model (COM) functionality bug behind remote COM activation failures with error 0x8001011 on Windows platforms.

To install this preview update, open the Windows Settings app, go to 'Windows Update,' and click 'Check for Updates.' Because this is an optional update, you will also be prompted to confirm if you want to install it by clicking the 'Download and install' link.

Windows 10 users can also install KB5061087 manually after downloading it from the Microsoft Update Catalog.
