iCloud outage hits several popular Apple services
Downdetector.com shows spiking reports of iCloud being down. The outage appears to have started shortly after 1:00 p.m. Eastern time.
According to Apple’s system status page, the outage impacts a variety of iCloud services, including:
iCloud Mail
iCloud Web Apps
iCloud Storage Upgrades
iWork for iCloud
Photos
Users affected by the outage may be unable to access these services altogether, or encounter sync issues or other errors.
The list of impacted services per Apple’s status page has also increased, indicating it’s a widespread issue affecting many different apps and services.
Earlier today, there was a separate outage issue that impacted Apple’s business users, with Apple Business Essentials, Apple Business Manager, and Apple School Manager all affected.
Those issues were marked by Apple as resolved around 1:30 p.m. However, it’s possible the new outages have a related root cause.
