Apple refreshes Mac Studio: M4 Max starts at $1,999, M3 Ultra from $3,999

The base M4 Max-equipped Studio features a 14-core CPU (10 performance cores, four efficiency cores) alongside a 32-core GPU with hardware-accelerated ray tracing and a 16-core Neural Engine, although it can be configured with up to 16 CPU cores and 40 GPU cores. Standard models include 36GB of unified memory and a 512GB SSD – both of which are expandable for the right price. According to Apple, the Mac Studio with M4 Max is up to 3.5x faster than its M1 Max-equipped predecessor and more than 6.1 times faster than the top-tier Intel-based 27-inch iMac.
