A few days after its counterparts, Apple today released macOS Tahoe 26.2 developer beta 1. Here’s what to expect.

What to expect from macOS Tahoe 26.2

Following the official release of macOS Tahoe 26.1, developers can now install the first macOS Tahoe 26.2 beta, which will likely continue Apple’s efforts to bring Anthropic’s MCP support to all its platforms and to open Image Playground to more third-party models beyond ChatGPT.

The build number rolling out to developers right now is 25C5031i.

How to install the new beta

Here’s how to install the macOS Tahoe 26.2 developer beta 1:

Backup your Mac Open System Settings Go to General ⇾ Software Update Click the ‘i’ icon next to Beta Updates From the dropdown menu in the top-right, select the macOS Developer Tahoe Beta Hit ‘Done’
