Apple is gearing up for the holiday season, including launching one change that it institutes every year: an extended holiday return window for Apple Store product purchases.
Starting today, product purchases can be returned through early January
Today Apple is rolling out holiday theming at retail stores and the online Apple Store.
Alongside these decorative changes, the company has kicked off its holiday return policy.
Per Apple’s website:
Eligible products at the Apple Store Online that are received between November 12, 2025 and December 25, 2025, may be returned through January 8, 2026. Please note that all other terms and conditions provided in the Apple Store Online Sales and Refunds Policy are still applicable with respect to such products purchased. iPhone purchases that are carrier-financed with T-Mobile or Verizon are not eligible and are subject to standard return policy. All purchases made after December 25, 2025 are subject to the Standard Return Policy.
Normally, Apple Store purchases offer a 14-day window for returns. But during the holiday season, Apple institutes a much longer return period.
If you buy a new product at the Apple Store today, thanks to the new January 8 deadline, you would have nearly two full months to return it.
Of course, the intent is that holiday shoppers can start buying gifts with no worries about the recipients being unable to return the products as needed.
As always, Apple Store returns have the following limited exceptions, most of which have become largely irrelevant in 2025 aside from gift cards:
