Apple has released the second iOS 26.2 beta for iPhone. The developer beta version is available as an over-the-air update starting today.
iOS 26.2 introduces a number of new features and improvements, including changes to the Sleep Score system.
The top rating has been renamed from “Excellent” to “Very High,” and the thresholds for all categories have been recalibrated following feedback that the previous scoring felt overly generous.
The update also brings improvements to Apple Podcasts through AI, which now automatically generates chapters, links to mentioned podcasts, and organizes related content.
Meanwhile, the Apple News app gains a more refined layout with quick links to popular sections as part of Apple’s ongoing design updates.
Additional enhancements include the expansion of AirPods Live Translation to European Union countries.
The update also introduces a Liquid Glass Lock Screen slider that allows for more precise control over clock translucency across fonts.
Finally, the Reminders app gains the ability to trigger alarms and timers for urgent tasks, ensuring notifications can bypass Focus modes for maximum visibility.
We expect iOS 26.2 to officially launch in December. We’ll update our coverage with changes in iOS 26.2 beta 2.
