Yesterday Apple shipped developer beta 3 for its various 26.2 software updates, and despite skipping a public beta for most platforms last week, public beta 2 has now arrived for watchOS 26.2 and more. Here are the details.

Public beta 2 now available for watchOS 26.2 and more

If you’re part of Apple’s public beta program, there’s a wave of new software updates ready for you to install today.

Apple has just released public beta 2 for watchOS 26.2 and more. These are the same software builds released yesterday as developer beta 3. Last week, only macOS and tvOS got new public betas, so those platforms are now on public beta 3.

So far after about a day of testing, no new features have been discovered in the latest updates. They should hopefully, at least, provide bug fixes that boost your device’s performance though.

Overall, the bigger changes in this latest round of betas include iPadOS regaining drag and drop support for initiating multitasking, and the first UI for Apple’s new AirDrop enhancement.

We’ll keep you posted on any further discoveries we make in watchOS 26.2 and Apple’s other “minor” platforms with today’s public beta 2.

Have you been using the new 26.2 public betas for any of Apple’s platforms? How have they been running for you? Let us know in the comments.
