Apple TV may be known primarily for TV shows like Severance or the new Pluribus series, but the streamer has been on a winning streak with new movies. Here’s a rundown of the latest films to check out, and what’s coming next.
Apple TV’s film lineup this fall has been especially strong
After pivoting away from most major theatrical rollouts a year ago, Apple TV has found great success with its streaming-focused film strategy.
This fall, the streamer got two movies with major Hollywood stars and directors:
Highest 2 Lowest reunited Denzel Washington and Spike Lee for a NYC-based crime thriller
The Lost Bus starred Matthew McConaughey and was directed by Paul Greengrass (Bourne franchise)
Both films were critically acclaimed, as was the recent Brett Goldstein-Imogen Poots romance All of You.
Apple TV has also recently premiered two documentary films that are getting a lot of buzz.
Come See Me in the Good Light arrived last week as a Sundance award winner. Here’s Apple’s description:
