I’ve used SoundCloud for over 10 years. In my country it’s blocked, so a VPN isn’t a choice — it’s the only way to access music at all. Now proxy and VPN requests are blocked too, and I’m locked out completely.
I’m not a bot, not scraping, not abusing anything. I just want to listen to music that’s been part of my life for a decade. Being cut off from that because of where I live feels unfair and exhausting.
This is what “internet freedom” looks like for many of us: blocked by our country, then blocked again by the platform. I really hope SoundCloud considers users who depend on VPNs just to exist online.
