iPadOS 26.3 is the next iPad software update, and Apple has just released developer beta 2 of the forthcoming release. Here’s what to expect.
iPadOS 26.3 beta 2 arrives after holiday hiatus
Last month, shortly after shipping iPadOS 26.2, Apple released the first beta version of iPadOS 26.3.
The update didn’t include many changes—which wasn’t altogether a surprise.
Since beta 1 hit just before Apple employees took a holiday break, it was expected to be a smaller release to minimize new bugs and performance issues.
Apple doesn’t want to release beta software that could cause it, and users, a lot of headaches right before betas go on hiatus for several weeks.
But today, now that a new year has arrived and business schedules get back to normal, iPadOS 26.3 beta 2 is here.
It’s possible Apple saved some new features for today’s beta release. Now that its engineering teams are back to work, any issues that spring up can quickly be addressed in a revised beta.
But the company might also leave 26.3 as a fairly small update overall ahead of the expected larger 26.4 debut with Siri’s AI revamp. In any case, we’ll keep you posted on any new features and changes discovered in iPadOS 26.3.
