Real Madrid will look to take a step closer to the knockout phase of the Champions League on Tuesday as Los Blancos go in search of a win against struggling Monaco.
The hosts find themselves in seventh, just a point above the playoff zone coming into this week's fixtures. New boss Alvaro Arbeloa recorded his first win since taking over from Xabi Alonso with a 2-0 home win over improving Levante in La Liga at the weekend.
Currently in 19th, Monaco meanwhile find themselves at real risk of an early exit from this season's tournament, with Sébastien Pocognoli's men just two points clear of the elimination zone, despite last month's 1-0 win over Galatasaray.
