Tech and AI company leaders are in a unique position to curb Trump’s ICE ambitions, and yet most have remained silent after the second ICE killing in Minneapolis. On the morning of January 24 in downtown Minneapolis, an ICE agent shot and killed protester Alex Pretti, an ICU nurse at a local Veterans Affairs hospital. Just 2 miles away, on January 7, another ICE agent had shot and killed Nicole Renee Good, a mother. The deaths mark the first times during Donald Trump’s second term that ICE agents have fired in anger and killed publicly verified U.S. citizens.
