Trucking and real estate stocks struggle to gain momentum on Friday after becoming latest victims of AI fears

Investors were anxious on the final trading session of the week, after AI concerns gripped equity markets again to trigger a fresh sell-off — this time, hitting the logistics and real estate sectors.

Here's how some of the worst-hit stocks were faring on Friday.

Trucking and logistics

On Thursday, logistics stocks became the latest victims of the AI fear trade, thanks to a new tool from AI firm Algorhythm Holdings. The tool, called SemiCab, touts itself as "the world's most well-orchestrated transportation platform." Logistics giants C.H. Robinson and RXO — which fell as much as 20% each on Thursday — both rebounded 2% on Friday.

Expeditors International of Washington, which fell more than 16% in Thursday's session, was last trading slightly lower. After Thursday's 9% loss, J.B. Hunt Transportation Services shed another 1% on Friday, while XPO was last seen 1% lower. Algorhythm — which surged as much as 30% on Thursday — gained 24% on Friday.

Real estate

On Thursday, a sell-off of commercial real estate companies entered its second day. CBRE was among the hardest hit, extending its losses into Friday to trade 1% lower.
