Earlier this week, Apple confirmed to 9to5Mac that the Mac Pro was being discontinued.
While the timing of the move was somewhat surprising, the decision itself was not. After the M2 Ultra Mac Pro launched in June 2023, the product went untouched, fueling growing speculation that Apple would eventually replace it with the Mac Studio.
Whether Apple will, in fact, steer Mac Pro users towards the Mac Studio remains to be seen. But as soon as Apple confirmed its decision to discontinue the Mac Pro, the company removed it from its website and store.
However, Apple still has over 20 units available through its Certified Refurbished store, in both rack and desktop form factors, with prices ranging from $6,289 for a 24-core CPU and 60-core GPU model to $10,029 for a 24-core CPU and 76-core GPU (USB-C) model.
During checkout, users can add AppleCare+ and AppleCare One coverage. All purchases also include Apple’s one-year limited warranty, plus free delivery and returns.
