As of Friday, April 24th, the XChat app has officially launched.

Unlike the official X app, XChat is a little more at home with iOS 26 design. It even uses the iOS 26 keyboard. The X app still uses the iOS 18 version of the keyboard.

If you’ve ever relied on X or Twitter for communicating with people through direct messages, so far the XChat app looks and feels like a huge upgrade over that experience.
