Apple Weather might be slow to load or unavailable right now

If you’ve tried to used Apple’s Weather app on your iPhone recently, you might have been met with a nearly empty screen.

That’s because per numerous social media reports, Apple Weather is currently down or experiencing issues for many users.

According to Downdetector.com, The Weather Channel is having outages, which may be contributing as Apple Weather still uses that third-party service as part of its broader data sources. Similarly, some have reported issues with Apple Support, which may just be a way users are reporting an Apple Weather problem.

Apple has not yet acknowledged the issue on its System Status webpage. Apple Weather is currently marked green, meaning it should be fully available and online.

On my own iPhone, Apple Weather has been very slow to load so far this afternoon, but after a few minutes of waiting I was recently able to pull in current data for each of my saved locations.

We’ll keep you posted with any official word from Apple on the Weather app’s status.
