Apple TV is assembling a packed summer lineup, with beloved comedies like Ted Lasso and Trying returning, plus several fan-favorite sci-fi series too. Here are three returning sci-fi series hitting Apple TV soon.
#1: Dark Matter season 2
Dark Matter is returning for a new season this summer, with leads Joel Edgerton, Jennifer Connelly, Alice Braga, Jimmi Simpson, and more all returning.
The first season was based on the New York Times bestselling novel by Blake Crouch. Crouch was showrunner on the Apple TV adaptation, and the original story for season 2 is co-written by him too.
Dark Matter season 2 premieres Friday, August 28 with one episode, then weekly releases through October 30.

Season two picks up with the Dessens as they settle into a quiet life in a world that finally seems safe until the unimaginable forces them to run once again. As Jason’s obsession with the Box deepens, Daniela’s (Connelly) growing paranoia pushes her to the brink, threatening to tear their fragile stability apart. #2: Silo season 3
Silo is one of Apple TV’s biggest hits, and season 3 looks set to bring an exciting expansion outside the world of the silos.
The show is based on Hugh Howey’s hit trilogy of novels, and this new season will cover events from books 2 and 3—including a major flashback storyline that introduces all-new characters.
