Apple announced watchOS 27 during today’s WWDC26 keynote. It introduces the new Siri AI app, now data insights for workouts, Spanish support for Workout Buddy, and more.

The bad news is that watchOS 27 drops support for Apple Watch SE (2nd generation), Apple Watch Series 6, 7, 8, and 9, and the first-gen Apple Watch Ultra.

Here’s the full list of models that will be able to run watchOS 27:

watchOS 27 requires an iPhone 11 or later, or iPhone SE (2nd generation or later), running iOS 27. As with past updates, if you’ve got an older Apple Watch, certain new features may not be available.
