Today during its WWDC keynote, Apple unveiled the Mac’s next major software version: macOS Golden Gate. Here’s the full list of Mac models compatible with the update.

Here are the Mac models compatible with macOS Golden Gate

Apple announced last year that macOS Tahoe would be the last software version that supports pre-Apple silicon Macs.

And today’s macOS 27 confirmed that Intel Macs are no longer supported. You’ll need an Apple silicon model to run the latest software.

Here’s the full list of Macs compatible with macOS Golden Gate:

MacBook Neo (2026)

MacBook Air with Apple silicon (2020 and later)

MacBook Pro with Apple silicon (2020 and later)

iMac with Apple silicon (2021 and later)

Mac mini with Apple silicon (2020 and later)
