GoKawiilApple barely mentioned tvOS 27 in its WWDC keynote today, but the update does exist, and is available now in beta. But two previously supported Apple TV models are not compatible with tvOS 27.

If you were watching today’s WWDC keynote, you might be surprised to hear that Apple has a new tvOS 27 update coming.
That’s partly because of the unique format of the event, which didn’t follow a typical “one OS at a time” approach.
But it’s also because Apple had very little to say about tvOS.
The few new features we do know about were mentioned on a slide along with many other features across other platforms.
And now, thanks to Aaron Perris and his post on X, we know about tvOS 27’s compatibility.
