Nimble, the maker of many interesting iPhone accessories, is launching a new product called Sharepower, which it bills as the world’s first sharable battery. Nimble says Sharepower will be available in Apple retail stores.
It’s a 10,000mAh USB-C power bank built around a magnetic modular design that pulls apart into two fully independent 5,000mAh chargers.
The pitch is simple: snap off a module, hand it to the friend whose iPhone is about to die, and keep topping up your own. One for you, one to share.
Each half is a self-contained 20W USB-C battery. The primary hub has an LCD percentage display and a foldaway USB-C connector, while the secondary module carries an integrated lanyard-style USB-C cable and its own LED status indicator.
Both pieces include an extra USB-C port, so Sharepower can charge as many as four devices at once. That’s enough to keep an iPhone, AirPods, and an iPad going through a long travel day.
Nimble’s Sharepower is made from more than 90% recycled content, with PFAS- and PVC-free materials and plastic-free, soy-ink packaging.
Sharepower is available now at gonimble.com for $79.95 in white, with translucent Liquid Crystal Blue and Liquid Crystal Pink editions. You can find more Nimble products on Amazon.
