Following a successful third season, where Eugene Levy went around the world to cross off several items on his bucket list, Apple TV confirmed today that ‘The Reluctant Traveler with Eugene Levy’ has been renewed for 8 more episodes. Here are the details.
Apple TV set to take Eugene Levy around the world yet again
Last year, The Reluctant Traveler with Eugene Levy took the actor to Mexico, Austria, the UK, South Korea, Ireland, India, Canada, and the US, as he and a series of illustrious guests crossed off items from Levy’s bucket list.
The season averaged a 7.7 rating on IMDb, narrowly topping the show’s two previous seasons.
Today, Apple TV confirmed that the show will return for a new eight-episode run, with yet another twist to the show’s concept.
From Apple TV:
“The new eight-episode season will follow Levy as he attempts to up the ante by saying “yes” to the kinds of travel experiences he’s spent a lifetime carefully avoiding, even in previous seasons. Saying “no” used to be his happy place, but after three seasons on the road, he’s discovered he may be more adventurous than he ever thought possible. This season, he pushes himself even further by embracing unfamiliar experiences, unexpected challenges and the kinds of adventures he once would have instantly and instinctively turned down.”
Eugene Levy (Schitt’s Creek, American Pie) also commented on the show’s return, begrudgingly conceding that three previous seasons had taught him “that saying ‘yes’ to new experiences is not necessarily a bad thing” for him.
Apple TV has not yet announced a premiere date for season four. And considering the third season was announced in June 2024 but did not premiere until September 2025, it may be a while before the show’s eight new episodes arrive on the platform.
