With the increased popularity of smart rings from Oura and others, there’s been plenty of speculation about whether Apple would build its own competitor. Now, per leaker Kosutami it sounds like an Apple ‘iRing’ might be in development.
Apple might be planning expansion into smart ring market
Apple Watch remains a very successful product line for Apple, consistently dominating the smart watch market.
But health trackers continue finding success in other form factors, such as smart rings from Oura (pictured above), and smart bands like WHOOP and Fitbit Air.
Many have wondered if Apple will ever offer a direct competitor.
And now, per a new post on X from leaker Kosutami, it sounds like a smart ring might be in the works.

In a follow-up post, Kosutami confirms that this project under development is expected to compete with the Oura Ring and Samsung Galaxy Ring.
It’s unclear how far along the effort might be, however, and no other details were shared.
