Two weeks ago, Apple released macOS 26.6 beta 2, and, as expected, it didn’t include many new features.

Apple’s release notes for beta 1 mentioned a bug fix for a situation where macOS deprecation notifications were incorrectly displaying after mistakenly identifying some apps as Intel-only, but that was pretty much it.

With the test cycle for macOS 26.6 almost complete, Apple’s focus now turns to macOS 27 Golden Gate, announced earlier this month during WWDC and expected to be released this fall.
