The president has continued to minimize the rising unemployment among Black workers, even as it climbs precipitously in cities like New York. In recent appearances, President Trump has been dismissive of concerns over the Black unemployment rate, even suggesting at one point that there had been “huge drops” in unemployment for those workers.
