Anthropic announced the new Claude for Teachers campaign on Tuesday, which includes a set of education-focused skills for Claude.

“Once verified, K-12 educators in the US get access to Claude for Teachers with the Learning Commons connector and a set of tailored teaching skills grounded in learning science,” Anthropic says.

“The skills, co-developed with Learning Commons, were designed around the tasks teachers told us mattered most. These were evaluated to ensure rigor, pedagogical alignment, and classroom usability, and refined through early feedback from classroom teachers, including those in schools like Prospect Schools in Brooklyn.”

Claude for Teachers includes access to both Claude Cowork and Claude Code, giving educators access to the latest AI technologies from Anthropic. The company also recently published a fluency guide for educators interested in using AI in the classroom.

Anthropic says that its new Claude for Teachers effort is specifically for individual educators. Meanwhile, the AI company says it’s working on a “dedicated offering for schools and districts” next.

The promotion includes a free year of premium Claude access. Eligible teachers can apply by June 30, 2027 for take advantage of the offer.
