Titanium build and an ultra thin design

TESSAN built the AERO 5000 to be only 6.9 millimeters thick, roughly the thickness of three credit cards when stacked together. It is designed to fit in your pocket without feeling like you have a thick battery in your pocket as well. It’ll feel more like having a MagSafe wallet.

Beyond the size, the materials they chose for the build are what really set this apart for me. TESSAN used iPhone-grade titanium alloy for the battery’s back. It’s a nice touch. It’s really hard to stand out with batteries because it’s generally either the price or the size of the battery.

Battery-wise, TESSAN uses a pure-cobalt, semi-solid-state battery core called SolidSafe. Standard batteries typically contain highly flammable liquids, but this new structure from TESSAN aims drastically reduces heat buildup and prevents thermal runaway even if the battery takes extreme physical damage. Heat is the enemy of battery health, so anything that keeps temperatures down while charging is a huge win. It can output up to 15 watts wirelessly or 20 watts when plugged into the USB-C port. Having a wired output port is great, even for a smaller battery (think AirPods charging, etc)
