GoKawiilThe official MLB app for iPhone is rolling out a useful update for fans who want to follow more games. Both the CarPlay app and Live Activity experience has improved in a few ways.
The new MLB app lets users launch a Live Activity for any game on the schedule.
Previously, the feature was limited to a user’s favorite team. To get started, open Gameday for a matchup and tap the new Track button in the header. The game will then appear on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island.
MLB has also improved its CarPlay experience. MLB has long been one of the great CarPlay apps.
Fans can browse live and upcoming games, select a matchup, and choose their preferred team’s radio feed. CarPlay will show the score and key game details while the broadcast plays, with the app’s hide-scores setting still respected for anyone avoiding spoilers.
Earlier this summer, MLB expanded its widget for live scores on iPhone and iPad. CarPlay in iOS 26 and later can also display iPhone widgets.
Later this month, Apple Vision Pro users will be able to experience the first Friday Night Baseball game in Immersive video on Apple TV.
The MLB app is available as a free download from the App Store.
