Why This Matters

The new gesture feature in ChatGPT’s iPhone app streamlines the process of attaching recent photos, enhancing user experience for visual searches. This update reflects ongoing efforts to improve AI-powered tools for faster, more intuitive interactions, benefiting both consumers and the broader tech industry. It demonstrates how small interface improvements can significantly boost productivity and usability in AI applications.

Key Takeaways

Users who rely on ChatGPT for quick visual searches can now add photos to a conversation more quickly with a new gesture. Here’s how.

ChatGPT makes it easier to attach recent photos to a conversation

While iOS has had Visual Intelligence for nearly two years, the feature is still limited to relatively recent iPhones and isn’t available in every region.

For users who rely on ChatGPT to perform similar visual searches, attaching a photo meant tapping the + button, then tapping “Photos,” and then selecting an image from their photo library.
