Here’s what to expect from iPadOS 27 beta 7 and more
Apple’s beta testing cycle for iOS 27 and more is almost complete. The company is expected to ship its major new software versions in mid-September, just a few weeks from now.
Today Apple released beta 7 for iPadOS 27, tvOS 27, visionOS 27, and more.
This late in the beta cycle, we’re not expecting new features or many notable changes in today’s releases.
Based on Apple’s history in previous summers, there likely won’t be more than one more beta before the RC arrives. As a result, Apple’s primary focus in beta 7 is expected to be on bug fixes and stability.
We might still see some minor user-facing changes too. For example, tweaks to app icons or other UI elements are always possible. But brand new features or major changes are highly unlikely for beta 7 this close to September.
Looking ahead, beta 8 will likely ship next week for iPadOS 27 and more. After that, the RC versions should debut immediately after the iPhone event.
The event date is expected to be announced as early as this week. And currently Wednesday, September 9 seems the safest best for the iPhone unveiling.
