Sony held two back-to-back State of Play broadcasts featuring release dates for Until Dawn 2 and Final Fantasy 7 Revelation, plus new footage from Marvel's Wolverine, Ghost of Yotei's new Most Wanted survival mode, Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance, and Metro 2039 running on PS5 Pro. While lacking a single blockbuster reveal, the dual showcase reinforces Sony's steady release cadence heading into the holiday and early 2026 window, giving fans concrete dates rather than vague teasers. The inclusion of niche sequels like Maneater 2 alongside major franchises like Wolverine and Ghost of Yotei shows Sony balancing tentpole marketing with support for smaller studios.
- Until Dawn 2 and Final Fantasy 7 Revelation now have confirmed release dates.
- Ghost of Yotei's Most Wanted survival mode and story DLC both launch October 1.
- Metro 2039 is confirmed for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC on February 4.
