The return of ceramic casing and upgraded battery life show Apple refining its premium wearable design rather than overhauling it, while the new health-tracking features like Readiness and Health Age push the Watch further into personal health monitoring territory. Limiting these features to the newest hardware also signals Apple's strategy of using sensor upgrades to encourage upgrade cycles among existing Watch owners.
