Amazon has cut the price of its previous-generation Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition to $169.99, down from $249.99. The discount suggests Amazon is clearing out older Kindle stock ahead of or alongside its newer lineup, giving budget-conscious buyers a chance to get nearly comparable features for less. The reviewer notes the standard model lacks wireless charging and double the storage found in the Signature Edition, so the cheaper option involves real trade-offs worth weighing.
- Previous-gen Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition is $169.99, down from $249.99.
- Standard previous-gen Paperwhite is $149.99, down from $199.99.
- Newer model offers faster book-opening speed and a thinner design but costs $50 more.
