GoKawiilLenovo IdeaPad Slim 5x with Snapdragon X2 Plus drops to $900
Lenovo is selling a high-end configuration of its IdeaPad Slim 5x—16GB RAM, 512GB storage, a high-resolution OLED display, and Qualcomm's Snapdragon X2 Plus chip—for $900, a $250 discount. A lower-resolution version of the same laptop is also available directly from Lenovo.com for $800.

The deal stands out because an industry-wide memory shortage has pushed laptop prices up broadly, making sub-$1,000 high-end machines increasingly rare, according to the reviewer. The pricing also makes the Snapdragon X2 Plus—a newer Qualcomm chip the reviewer says rivals Apple's M5—accessible in an affordable device for the first time, which could help Qualcomm gain visibility in budget-conscious premium laptops.
- The IdeaPad Slim 5x's high-end configuration is priced at $900, its lowest ever for this spec level.
- A lower-resolution variant is available for $800 directly from Lenovo.
- Rising memory costs have made sub-$1,000 high-end laptops increasingly scarce industry-wide.
