Apple Vision Pro owners will soon get to experience the exhilarating world of motorcycle racing. CANAL+ announced an upcoming Apple Immersive Video film that will bring viewers directly into the world of MotoGP racing. The project marks the first third-party studio production in Apple’s Immersive Video format, filmed entirely with Blackmagic’s URSA Cine Immersive camera system designed specifically for Vision Pro content.

Expanding Vision Pro’s immersive content library

Set to debut in September, the documentary follows world champion MotoGP racer Johann Zarco and his team through their historic victory at the French MotoGP Grand Prix in Le Mans. MotoGP represents the premier class of motorcycle road racing, featuring the world’s fastest production-based motorcycles competing on circuits around the globe.

The immersive experience promises to place viewers in multiple perspectives throughout the race weekend, from the pit lane to the broadcast studio.

Having experienced a teaser of the documentary on Vision Pro, the immersive format does create a convincing sense of being right there with the motorbikes. The champagne celebration after Zarco’s victory comes across especially well in the format, demonstrating how spatial video can effectively transport you to the room where the celebration is happening.
