Looking for a way to step up your creative capture game? BOYA is out with a new modular microphone with AI-powered noise cancelation that works with a range of devices.
The BOYA Magic is being billed as the world’s first AI-powered, shape-shifting wireless microphone, and it’s now available after a successful Kickstarter campaign.
The standout feature here is the transformable design that eliminates the need for multiple microphones. At just 13mm thin and weighing only 7g, BOYA Magic seamlessly adapts to four configurations: lav mic, handheld, desktop, and on-camera.
Despite its compact size, BOYA Magic claims to deliver professional-grade audio with 48kHz/24-bit recording, a wide 144 dB dynamic range, and real-time AI noise cancellation powered by a deep neural network chip trained on over 700,000 noise samples. Users can choose between Strong (up to -40 dB) and Light (up to -15 dB) noise reduction modes depending on their environment.
The transmitter offers six hours of battery life. The charging case extends total operation to 30 hours. The charging case cleverly doubles as a handheld microphone, and the BOYA Central app provides mobile access to noise cancellation settings, EQ presets, and gain adjustment.
BOYA Magic is available now starting at $90 (reg. $130) through BOYA, Amazon, and retailers worldwide.
