Two brand new streaming services are launching next week. ESPN and FOX One both debut on August 21, and now Deadline reports that a bundle featuring the competing services will soon be available.
New ESPN-FOX One streaming bundle coming for $39.99/month
If you’re a sports fan in the US, you probably know that football season is fast approaching.
The NFL remains a juggernaut in linear TV ratings, but this year it should be more accessible than ever on streaming too.
That’s in part because of two new streaming services about to launch:
ESPN is launching its long-awaited flagship streamer for $29.99/month
FOX One is also coming with news, sports, and entertainment for $19.99/month
Both streamers, which no doubt will be targeted heavily to NFL fans, are launching on the same day: next Thursday, August 21.
Though they come from competing companies, Deadline reports that a bundle containing the two streamers will be available soon to save you some money—also confirmed by the companies.
The new bundle will cost $39.99/month, for savings of $10/month—a 20% discount.
The only downside is that the bundle won’t launch until October 2.
Presumably this delay is so Disney and FOX can land the initial waves of subscribers at their standard pricing, without sharing revenue with a competitor.
Disney is no stranger to bundling. The company has found great success with its own in-house bundles including Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+, but also in a partnership with HBO Max.
So far there’s no word on a potential Disney bundle that includes Disney+ or Hulu alongside ESPN and FOX One. But that may be an option. We’ll have to wait to find out though.
Is the new ESPN and FOX One bundle appealing to you? Why or why not? Let us know in the comments.
