GoKawiilKCC comic converter adds 2D DFT filtering to sharpen manga on color e-ink
Kindle Comic Converter (KCC), an open-source tool for optimizing comics and manga for e-ink readers, now uses a 2D Discrete Fourier Transform to remove the rainbow effect seen on Kaleido 3 color e-ink screens without blurring the image. The tool also compresses files (e.g., 600MB down to 100MB), fixes faded blacks, and delivers fullscreen pages without margins across Kindle, Kobo, reMarkable and other devices.
