Developer releases phoria2, a WebGL 2 rewrite of the phoria 3D JS library

An independent developer has published phoria2, a lightweight JavaScript library for building 3D charts, labelled scenes, dashboards and product viewers using WebGL 2. It is a rewrite of the author's earlier canvas-based phoria library, aiming for a simple API that can be learned quickly, and was shared on Show HN.

Three.js r186 adds built-in support for Gaussian Splats

Three.js version r186 now includes native support for 3D Gaussian Splatting, adding a dedicated mesh type and loaders for major splat file formats. Previously splats required community-made add-ons, but they are now a core rendering feature of the engine.
