Acer announced eight new monitors ahead of IFA 2026, headlined by the Predator XB253Q U1, a 24-inch screen that hits 1080p resolution at a 1,000Hz refresh rate, improving on an earlier CES model limited to 720p. The lineup also adds curved and Mini LED options across the Predator, Nitro and ProDesigner families, including a cheaper 34-inch curved Nitro display and a QD-OLED Predator X32 V3.
Acer has shown off a concept device called Project DualPlay Mini, an 8-inch Windows gaming handheld resembling its Predator Atlas 8 that can flip open and swivel its screen to reveal a small backlit keyboard underneath. The device runs on an Intel chip and uses a dual-fan cooling setup similar to the Atlas 8, but Acer has not detailed further specs since it remains a concept with no confirmed retail release.
LG has begun taking preorders for the UltraGear 25G590B, a 24.5-inch IPS gaming monitor it calls the first to hit a native 1,000Hz refresh rate at 1080p resolution. The monitor costs $999.99 directly from LG, though it's currently discounted to $932 on Amazon, and supports both AMD FreeSync Premium and Nvidia G-Sync.
