Apple has rolled out its 2026 annual software updates—iOS 27, macOS 27 Golden Gate, watchOS 27, visionOS 27 and tvOS 27—headlined by a rebuilt Siri powered by large language models. The new assistant can explain on-screen content, search past emails and messages for context, and work directly with apps that add support, alongside new tools for generating Shortcuts, Safari extensions and photo edits from prompts. Apple also added a slider to control the transparency of its Liquid Glass interface and made design refinements across macOS in response to user complaints.
