Exposed Cairn AI hacking panels reveal live cyberattack operations, researchers say
Security researchers at NorForge identified more than 20 publicly accessible control panels for Cairn, an AI-driven penetration-testing tool, that appear linked to malicious hacking campaigns. The exposed panels showed how attackers direct autonomous AI agents to scope targets, find vulnerabilities, exploit them, and maintain access to compromised systems. The investigation also found legitimate red-team firms had left similar panels open, exposing their clients' data as well.
